The power of the pen and written word is growing fast on the web. Gifted writers are producing enticing erotic sex stories. A new site, Sex Stories.com features all erotic stories. Internet Escort Services

Need a date in your home town or a city you're visiting? Internet escort agencies are beginning to pop up across the net. Some based in major cities and some are attempting to cover major cities across the USA (visit 007 Escorts). Most of them hint at prostution but all have disclaimers that state that they are not pimp agencies. Hope for sex but plan to be satisfied with just an innocent date.

Mainstreaming Sleeze

I don't know, I kind of like sneaking around looking for sex. However, as the internet sex business grows, it is trying to become main stream to try and cash in on it's share of giant cash providing IPOs swarming the net. At the fore front of the mainstreaming of sleeze is Seth Warshavasky of Internet Entertainment Group (IEG). You'll see Seth popping up in articles in publications such as Business 2.0. IEG has brought us photos of Dr. Laura, the Pamela Anderson & Tommy Lee video and Voyuer Dorm (cam in a college dorm where you can view life of coeds live. Will Wall Streat buy in? We'll have to wait and see if greed overcomes sex taboos. Isn't it funny that the sex industry is a $10 billion a year business yet no one will actually admit to buying in.

Gambling On The Net

Government's, national and local, biggest problem with the internet is that they have a tough time controlling and taxing it. Gambling continues to grow thanks to other countries that aren't as concerned with upholding our morals and are intent on cashing in of a business where most of their profits come from the good old USA. The Kyl bill which threatened to punish users (instead of gambling companies) in the US got bogged down this past year. Sen. Jon Kyl (R. Ariz) has promised to re introduce a bill to limit gambling on the net again this year. Write your Congress persons and Senators and stop this effort. Visit our gambling links and give it a shot before this privilage is taken away from you.

COPA Officially Shot Down in Court
Injunction against Child Online Protection Act

The Child Online Protection Act (COPA), which was signed into law by President Clinton last October, has been temporarily barred from being enforced by a federal court injunction on February 1st. US District Judge Lowell A. Reed Jr. said that although the Act was well-intentioned, "Perhaps we do the minors of this country harm if First Amendment protections, which they will with age inherit fully, are chipped away in the name of their protection." This means that you and everyone else involved in the online adult industry are temporarily reprieved from fear of prosecution for being in violation of the COPA articles. However, Reed stressed that although he felt this Act was too ambitious and needed to be toned down, and he felt he could not allow it to be enforceable, his decision does allow prosecutors to pursue child-porn and obscenity cases. Reed further explains, "This order does not extend to or restrict any action by the defendant^Åconcerning child pornography or material that is obscene." Now it is up to the Justice Department to decide whether or not to appeal and take this to trial, or simply abide by Reed's decision and allow it to become permanent. We'll keep you posted about future developments!
